Welcome back! I’ve heard tons of people talking about Makeup Revolution’s new concealer, so I had to jump on the bandwagon and find out what they hype was about. I searched long and hard to find my shade, each time I ventured into Superdrug they NEVER had my shade. Whilst waiting for my shade to appear in stock, I decided to watch a few YouTube reviews to see if I would like it, I was impressed at the amount of praise it was getting. Then out of the blue, I eventually stumbled across it…at last!!
At first I was utterly shocked at the size, it’s not something I’d normally except with a concealer. Rumours were circulating that this was a dupe for Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer, unfortunately I can’t compare the two as I don’t own it…sigh 😦 It has quite a large applicator which is also unusual.
I love its consistency, it isn’t too thick and isn’t watery or thin. I suffer with dark circles and have always struggled to find a product which helps to minimise this. After blending it in I noticed a significant difference almost instantly. It is without a shadow of a doubt a high coverage concealer.
On days were I haven’t wanted to wear a full face of makeup, I’ve reached into my collection and applied this sparingly to problem areas. My skin looked almost flawless, the appearance of blemishes reduced dramatically, it gave me the confidence boost I need on those no makeup makeup days.
Positives aside, I do think there are some slight downsides. I do notice that it does crease under my eyes, make sure to set this with powder to prolong its wear. As I mentioned earlier I’ve used the concealer as an alternative to foundation, as the day went on I found that it oxidised and my face appeared somewhat darker.
Overall I would totally recommend purchasing this new concealer and at £4 what a bargain!! I’ll definatley continue to use this for the foreseeable future. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts and opinions, please leave a comment below 🙂
Until another day x
